what did he die of exactly?
I know heart disease is a factor in my family, with the recent passing of my uncle.
I'm not sure there is a topic here for this.
But with the recent losses we have suffered, some due to chronic health problems found a little late. I think we need to have one.
Where we can talk about items that effect us.
I know we have talked about blood sugar problems. But i know myself and others, have faced also a few other health problems.
One thing i would like to stress to all. You know your body. You know when something isn't right. Don't let a doctor dismiss your concerns.
I am speaking that from my own personal problems, to others that i know was told it is nothing, and later found out it was something.
And you never know guys something you share here. It may help someone else or get their attention, before it's to late.
My biggest health concern right now is high cholesterol, and stress related BP problems, that for one, i can't treat with medications, and the other reason heart disease runs in my family. The BP we can work on with some medications. But not the cholesterol.
Anyone else have this problem, let me know how your treating yours.

Toby died of cancer. Which was inoperable by the time it was found. It had spred to far and to fast.
Tom's passing was due to several problems. Possibly early mild stroke that went undiagnosed, congestive heart failure, hypertension, and chronic arthritis.
Don't sound like much or that bad. Until you get into the medicines to treat the problems.
They couldn't treat any of the problems without messing with or causing problems some where else.
The arthrtist itself usually leads to being bed fast.
My BP sometimes elevates (much like you-it's stress related), but fortunately for me, 1 odorless garlic geltab a day keeps it in check. My family is succeptible to diabetes though, so as I get older, I'm going to do a better job taking care of myself.

Something to check on. If your not sure check it out.
Anyone remember Robbie Fox. He played football at PV. A fullback if i remember correctly.
I was talking to a guy that knowed him. I think most know he died of colon cancer. He was only about 30 yrs old.
The friend said Robbie had been having some problems for a year or so. By the time he went to the doctor for the problems he was having, he was eat up with cancer of the colon.
I know as just being men. We have a tendency to dismiss things. But we need to also realize. That superman thinking is good. But not when we realize it is what landed us in deeper problems.
I am making some post on this to get folks attention. We've lost some good folks lately. Don't think that it can't happen to you. Bad things happen to good folks. And age is not a factor. Young or Old.
Guys i am old, but I ain't that old.
But what is wrong with some of you younger folks?
Have a friend i have said the same thing to, that i posted here about being checked for things they question.
Well he is a whopping 28 yrs old, an was diagnosed yesterday, well Friday, with a type of prostate cancer that, may end his life or total erase his chance of producing a family, without adoption.
He is so torn up now, he has no idea, that he could of headed alot of this off, but he was to busy. Well now he is making all kinds of time. For the treatment of his prostate cancer, and just the idea, of possibly being able to have a family, with his bride of 4 yrs.
What is wrong with some of you guys. Do you think this is just a game? If you do, well it isn't.
Lpd i lost a great friend that was young like your friend to the samething. THis is a really scary thing it is smart if you all on here get the doc to keep an eye on this. Thanks for posting this lpd.

Something we are all remiss in amigo, that I feel needs to be addressed as well is a man's mental health as well as physical. You and I both have a good friend who is staring at going from working at the D.O.C. to being incarcerated there. This man is the kindest, most mild-mannered man that you will ever meet. We were both absolutely stunned when we heard what happened. Nobody saw it coming-nobody knew. You never know what's happening inside the mind of a man (home life, problems-things that a private person will not discuss). If you see changes in attitude, behavior, demeanor...etc, please take it SERIOUSLY! This man had more on his plate than we knew, and he just got fed up with a situation, and snapped. If you do see changes, just be a friend, be kind (not pushy), ask him if he's feeling ok? He may say nothing, but you may have tactfully gotten him to talk. Sometimes just being an ear to vent to is all you need. For years, I bottled everything up. Just now at 33, I am finally learning how to handle things.

Yeah something that took many by surprise. Have to say it stunned me.
But we never know what others may be going through. As i said in a post on here. I don't walk in no one's shoes but my own. I can say i care or i know how you feel. No i don't. It didn't happen to me or not in the way it happened to you.
Sometimes we miss the big picture when we say things. Had many known what was going on in this situation, some could of helped. Problem was as you state brother. No one bothered to ask, yet now many seen the signs.
A little to late. And we both know what being on the other side is about in DOC.
All this could of been avoided, for this one person, if someone could or would of just said talk to me. What pisses me and kills me, those closer than any of the others, never said a word, just let it build till it happened. That is what is sad. And they were so called friends? Oh well.
A lot of issues even us at men don't or can't always handle. Sometimes stress and life's problems can be overwhelming.
